Packaging and launch materials for STIHL CONNECT

STIHL CONNECT links machines to a smartphone or computer through an app. For the launch, its technical operation had to be communicated clearly without moving away from STIHL’s recognisable visual identity.

We developed a packaging range within STIHL’s existing brand identity. The design needed to distinguish the new product while still making it immediately recognisable as part of the brand.

STIHL CONNECT gives users insights into the use, maintenance and location of their equipment, among other information. These functions also had to be easy to understand in the visual communication. The packaging was therefore not only a brand carrier, but also a first introduction to what the system does.

We extended this visual approach to posters and materials for points of sale and launch events. This kept STIHL CONNECT recognisable whether someone encountered the system on the packaging, in a shop or at a launch event.
